Cassey Ho, creator of Blogilates, was looking up recipes online and found one that said you could make potato chips in the microwave. Skeptical that they would actually get crispy, she shared this video testing out the recipe. All she did was slice a sweet potato into super thin, “almost transparent” slices, and arranged them on a piece of parchment paper that was sprayed with a little olive oil spray. Then she sprayed the tops of the potato slices with some more olive oil, and sprinkled on Trader Joe’s Everything but the Elote Seasoning Blend (which she says we all know is “the best seasoning in the world.”).
She popped the plate in the microwave for 90 seconds on one side, flipped them all, did another 90 seconds (stretching while she waited), and you have to watch until the end of the video — she was shocked! I was shocked! And you will be shocked, too, when you hear that huge crunch! Ho says this recipe also works with regular potatoes, and now our potato-chip-loving selves are forever changed!
